Will Snort on UTM get Intel Hyperscan support?

Intel has taken over the high performance PCRE/RegEx library Hyperscan and have released a Snort integration for it: https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/hyperscan-and-snort-integration. According to Intel the Hyperscan integrated version performs 6x faster and consumes 5x less memory

Knowing that UTM 9 is still using Snort - would Sophos integrate Hyperscan at some point into this Snort version?

If so, this will take some time. But I agree with darrellr, why they should? Customers would simply need smaller devices which are cheaper and so sophos would loose some money. But this is all speculation.
