Principle question: DHCP on VLAN Interface how does it work?

I have setup my UTM v9.5 with a PPPOE (VDSL) Interface on eth1  and a LAN interface on eth0 (DHCP activated) - It works without any probs.

Now I created a VLAN10 upon eth0 and setup a second DHCP.

As switch I use a HP Procurve 1810-8g v2 (J9802A) running Firmware 2.08.

Question:

Is it possible to setup this VLAN DHCP upon interface (eth0) where eth0 already has a network in a way it will work?

The problem is that my Notebook client do not get an IP from the VLAN DHCP.

I tried everything on the switch & UTM with Tagging & Trunks without the results I need.

Hopefully some of you have the same config up and running and is able to help me?!

  • UTM Config looks Ok.

i think you have to configure the HP switch correctly.

I build this often (with HP/Aruba too) and this works.

HP Switch has to accept the default vlan untagged and VLAN10 tagged at the uplink-port.

The notebook-port must be configured for vlan10 untagged.

if this don#t work ... place the HP config here.
