IPv6 and NAT was never required before.

Hi folks,

I put my UTM online in front of my XG to get IPv6 working. XG does not handle IPv6 in a very friendly way like the uTM does.

All works which is good.

I tried something I know has worked in the past and that is not to use a NAT on the UTM. That was a failure no IPv6 traffic passed.

Not sure what has changed that seems to mandate a NAT on IPv6 becomes like the XG.

I setup two network objects, LAN4 and LAN6, setup a firewall rule for each and a MASQ for LAN4. IP4 traffic continued to flow, but no IPv6 traffic.

Default GWs on the external interface are ticked. Interestingly you can have two default gateways on IP4 one internal and one on the external network.

What have I missed in my IPv6 setup?

Thank you

Ian
