how to modify the host file on windows client pcs (c: \ Windows \ System32 \ drivers \ etc\hosts) from sophos utm 9 please ??

    This is not UTM's purpose.   It can be done with startup scripts , Group Policies, and probably a variety of client control packages.

    You did not say why this was desired.

    In most contexts, a DNS server is preferable.  UTM could do that for a small network.
