VPN Creation

I created a site to site VPN.  It indicated it was successful, but it wasn't.  I deleted the VPN, but it has only deleted one end of the VPN.  The VPN no longer exists in the UTMM, but in the ASG where it was not deleted, it remains and I have no way of deleting it.

Also, if I try to create another site to site VPN, the ASG with the yet to be deleted definition does not show up in the list of ASGs that I can select from.

If I use the UTMM to create a VPN, will the VPN connection survive an interruption on the UTMM?

    I created a site to site VPN.  It indicated it was successful, but it wasn't.  I deleted the VPN, but it has only deleted one end of the VPN.  The VPN no longer exists in the UTMM, but in the ASG where it was not deleted, it remains and I have no way of deleting it.


    "This should not happen (TM)"
    If you need to delete the created objects, you can disable "Central Management" on the UTM, and click "Cleanup Objects". This will remove the objects. After that you can enable "Central Management" again.

    What versions do the UTMs have that you are trying to create a Site2Site VPN on?



    Also, if I try to create another site to site VPN, the ASG with the yet to be deleted definition does not show up in the list of ASGs that I can select from.


    If this issue persists (and is reproducable) even after you have deleted the configuration as described above, we would be interested to take a look into your logs.

    If the connection to UTM-M is lost, even if you disable Central Management, all configuration done by UTM-M stays on the UTM. So, yes, the created VPN will survice the UTM-M interruption.

    Revisiting the devices, all now looks fine.  I had given it a few hours before manually creating my own link, so it must have taken a little longer than that.  Now I only see my own manually created VPN, so I guess that is fine.  Apologies for the alarm.  At least I now understand what delete objects does.  I was not clear on the concept before.

    My version is 8.305 on both ends.

    And thank you for the final confirmation.  We had problems with this before, so pleased to see it is now not a problem.
