I'm not sure whether or not this should be considered a cosmetic issue at all because an error message is displayed after all. Anyhow I'll discuss this with the respective developers.
*UPDATE* The error message itself is initially created by confd. So we're looking into a possible change for the error handling in general. We'll provide an update as soon as possible.
