Yesterday I updated my Intel Wi-Fi drivers and immediately started having issues with very slow (re-)connecting to my wireless network (e.g. on resume from standby). It turned out to be caused by the "Virtual Wi-Fi adapter" which can be used to create a private AP on the system (which is not what the normal user needs).
Disable it to fix (type in an administrative shell):
netsh wlan stop hostednetwork netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=disallow
LOL. That's a tip regarding the Intel driver, not the ASG. So not bug on our side here.
The "Virtual Wi-Fi adapter" is only there to create an AP at your Laptop - a very uncommon setup. It's mostly useful if you're on the run and have Internet access at the Laptop and now you want to share it to other mobile devices.
