[8.910][CLOSED] AP10 not in Pending List

I had the same problem here but I could - thanks to wireshark - find the problem: my ASG (for testing) in the same network is not the default gateway and he AP10 send connection requests to 1.2.3.4 via the default gateway (to my production ASG). Adding a static route 1.2.3.4/32 pointing to my test ASG did fix the problem.

I will use wireshark today to investigate further. UTM is the default gateway for me as well

my AP10, which is directly connected, is not recognized by my Astaro 8.910 (on Dell Poweredge).

An IP-Adress is assigned by the DHCP Server. The wireless protection live log doesn't show anything.

It's working fine on my ASG525 (8.301).

No Vlan, no hotspot.

First I only want to add the Access Point which is directly connected to the ASG

If the Ap is directly connected to the UTm you should be able to see it. The way it should work is:
When the AP boots up, it grabs an IP from DHCP, and then looks for the "magic" IP of 1.2.3.4, which is the IP for the Wifi controller.

Things you could try is
1)restart the service
2)Use tcpdump on your UTM and make sure that the communication between the AP and UTM is correct (search for 1.2.3.4 or the ip of your AP)

Also, be sure you are not victim of our unfinished display which is collapsiing the AP's by default. Under pending access points, at the window title on the right, click the small line of pixels to open the window where you then will see your AP.

No, i can see "There are currently no pending Access Points.". So it expanded.

10.100.10.4 is the AP

We need more info regarding the setup. for example what is the IP of the AP and try to find any communication with the DHCP server. You will probably need to run the tcpdump for a bit longer [:)]

 tcpdump -i  -vvv -w /tmp/AP_communication.pcap

This will create a pcap file for the specific interface for all traffic going through that interface.The file will be stored under /tmp/. Use WinSCP to get the file and then  wireshark to filter by ip etc

The AP has 10.100.10.4 (via DHCP)
The ASG has 10.100.10.254

The AP is looking for 1.2.3.4 and "asks" for the default GW (10.100.10.254)

I am not sure what kind of data you/we need from the PCAP File.
I cannot find anything unnormal.
