[8.900][ANSWERED] How configure Hotspot?

Hi guys,

i have a question. I'm playing with the new function "Hotspot".

My AP is connected to eth2. My WLan named "WLan Guest".

I enabled the hotspot function, generated a new hotspot (Hotel)  and now...?
What interface is must put into "interface"?

After a good configuration, is there a new Wlan-Name called "Hotspot" where i can connect with the voucher?

    You set up a  wireless network encryption mode for the WLan Guest network to No Encryption and that way the device does not request a password for it to assign an IP address. When the user opens a browser they are directed to the hotspot page where they need to input the password and this works fine. 


    Does it make sense?

    Hi and thank you.

    Okay.. step by step..

    I created a new Wireless Network called "Wlan Guest (on wlan2)". 
    Then i created a new interface for this wlan.
    After this, i created a new DHCP-Rule for this Interface.

    And now i put this Wlan-Interface to "HotSpot" Interfaces, hotspot Type=voucher, and my voucher definition that i created before.

    And now i have to find a new WLan with my mobile device (WlanGuest), without encryption, right?

    Nothing happend..   
    In the Hotspot livelog i only can see the status of HotSpot (hotspotd started / stopped).

    Hi,  

    - you created a wireless network without encryption and fully configured it
    - you added the interface of this wireless network to your hotspot and choosed voucher
    - you selected vouchers and saved

    did you enable the User Portal (Management / User Portal)?
    There you need to create the voucher codes, and then you should be able to login.

    Hopefully this helps you, otherwise let me know, then we do it step for step!
