[8.965] PPPoE and link balancing

Tonight after the midnight rollover the IPv4 gateway failed, the UTM decided it should automatically enable uplink balancing - Major bug.
Causes the other link to drop out then nothing worked. 

The IPv4 g/w appears to have authentication issues, but I can't tell at the moment whether they are ISP or the UTM has mixed up the PPPoE configurations.

The modem on the ADSL service providing the IPv4 g/w indicates that it is working fine, but the UTM indicates it is down both link and status, yet it is picking up an address.

For the moment I have disabled one ISP link so that my son can submit his uni papers.

And as fast as I can disable uplink balancing the UTM knows better and re-enables it. Eventually by disabling one link I was able to disable uplink balancing.

Reviewing PPPoE logs for the last couple of days the issue appears to be the UTM confuses links and put part of one configuration on the other link resulting in the links failing because of password errors. No, the passwords were not changed after midnight.

    This still doesn't work properly. Automatic link balancing turns on of its own accord, not good.

    I have two ADSL services, I disable one and it still carries traffic and shows up. The enabled ADSL service shows link down, but gets IPv4 address.

    Back onto the uplink balancing problem now that I have the second ADSL service working longer than 30 minutes.
    The UTM is way smarter than I which is not hard at the moment, it decides it needs to have uplink balancing and that I can't have 2 gateways, only have one 6 and one 4.
    I setup each gateway for its own IP structure and put multi-path rules in place. I disable uplink balancing but the rule still show up in the multi-path configursaion overview. When you edit the multi-path rules the uplink path is not there.
    I can't get the IPv6 traffic to find the gateway, which doesn't help with debugging.
    Not sure where to go from here.

    Interestingly, some devices must find the IPv6 gateway, because there is facebook traffic. My MAC and PC cannot find the assigned gateway as assigned on the interface.

    Tonight the IPv4 link failed so I configured the second link to carry the load without disabling the multipath rules. SixXS - IPv6 Deployment & Tunnel Broker connected using IPv6.

    When the primary link was restored the gateways re-assigned SixXS - IPv6 Deployment & Tunnel Broker connects using IPV4.
    Even when using the tools on the UTM, I cannot get the UTM to traceroute to IPv6 sites. It does not appear to be able find the gateway. I have done some tests at shell level and the default IPv6 gateway is known to the UTM.

    Any hints, ideas, suggestions except don't use 2 links is not a valid answer.
