[8.950][ANSWERED] root password is set automatically

If you install the system from scratch you first have to set hostname, company, city, country, admin pw and admin mail address.
Before you do is, it is possible to logon at commandline (local console) with user root. You then get the dialog:

old password: (just hit ENTER)
new password: 

After the wizard above this dialog doesn't come up at commandline again and you have to enter a root password, 
which you haven't set anywhere yet.

    Hi Marco,
    this is an intended behavior. You should NOT be able to set the root PW after the initial setup, since this would be a security risk. You can change passwords of loginuser and root via WebAdmin where the whole configuration of the UTM should be done.
