[8.940][DUPE] Increased Memory/CPU usage

just upgraded to the newest beta..939 was a huuuuuge memory hog.  I was running 58% swap with 2 gigs of ram.  I was running nearly 30% swap with 3 gigs of ram.  I am going to be very interested to see how these appliances run that only have 2 gigs when it looks like the actual minimum is going to be 4+ gigs.

I'm already at 17% swap usage with 2 gigs of ram...this is going to be ugly for folks with 2 gigs of ram..as much as i hate to do this i'm going to switch to "cloudy" and see if things get back under control.

preliminary investigation

migration/0 is running at 100% according to the Advance tab in webadmin
there are a couple of other processes running with high cpu%.

running the exact opposite to you, memory down from 53% to 40%, but cpu up from 5 to nearly 30 and has been that way since restart after upgrade.

I have around 50% memory usage with 2 GB (same as before), but CPU usage increased after update. Looks like some confd.plx processes are causing this CPU load.

I just merged two similar threads. Hopefully you're not bemused by that.

And btw.: unless you provide some more information (ps,top) about which processes are allocating the memory, we have nothing to take a look at.

now I have time to investigate this in more detail I suspect that a number of threads could be merged.
The high CPU is caused by acc-agent.plx and confd.plx. Also migration/0 has a high time count 285:15.72, the UTM has been up for 1d 2h 10m.

I stopped  and restarted the acc-agent.plx and the CPU went to 84% for that process. I am also searching log files and found some postgres errors.

ok i have moved to the cloudy http proxy and am now down to 113 megs of swap.  Astaro devs.  how aggressive are you about swapping programs to disk?  Even with swappiness set to zero machines running mem http db are apparently still high predicated to swapping.  Is this a known issue or a design feature?
