[8.930][BUG] html5 vpn missing Thai fonts

At this time it does not seem to be possible to choose the character encoding of a web site through the HTM5 Portal.

See attached images for problems with a non english language.

Any suggestions?

    The Mantis ID #20989 is now being worked on. We are planning to release a fix for this issue in Version 8.940.

    Hi Nils,

    Each Thai character can be comprised of the character itself, a vowel which might appear above or below the character, and a tone mark which would appear on the level above an upper vowel character.  What we see in the display is the fonts displaying sequentially, but not in the combined format.  That is, they are displaying one after the other, instead of where necessary, as a composite form, with parts above or below.  It is my understanding that hints are contained with proper Thai fonts allowing for the composition to be correct.  A font may display the character, but without the correct composition it is almost unreadable.  Let me know if this is not clear and we can ask someone who understands better than me to explain things.

    Thanks for you explanation. I suspected such a thing. In the next beta release there will be a font that displays thai language in a nicer way ;-)
