[8.920][ANSWERED] Do Profiles have 'Users/Groups allowed to bypass blocking'?

In the 'Web Security >> Web Filtering' menu, the 'Global', 'Anti-Virus/Malware' and 'URL Filtering' tabs all relate only to the 'Default content filter action'. Except, 'Users/Groups allowed to bypass blocking' appears to apply to all 'Filter Actions'.

Has that been added to the individual Filter Actions for V9?  If not, then an aalternative would be to move 'Users/Groups allowed to bypass URL blocking' to the 'Advanced' tab.

By the same token, in order to remain consistent, 'Parent Proxies' on the 'Advanced' tab should be moved to the 'Global' tab.

    Hi Bob,

    I am not aware of any such changes in the area you're talking about. The 'Users/Groups allowed to bypass blocking' already applied to all filter actions in V8. And I fail to see any reason why this should be a problem.

    You suggest to move the 'Users/Groups allowed to bypass URL blocking' to the 'Advanced' tab. But for what reason?

    The 'Parent Proxy' setting is an advanced feature and will hence stay on the 'Advanced' tab.

    Hi,

    I think Bob's question or suggestion is to have something like 'user allowed to override....' for a single proxy profile. Now you can configure that only for all profiles in the general section Web security->url filtering.

    If I didn't understand Bob correctly - that would we a nice feature either :-).
