[8.910][ANSWERED] Tamper protection password

Hi All

It seems that the tamper protection pasword (endpoint secruity) has changed since 8.900 version. However, existing client are able to change the tamper protection by using the old password (default password was sophos as per 8.900 info)

update:

I 've manually changed the password via UTM and (to the new default) and t was reflected to the endpoint client

PS: Maybe the description text has the new password but the password is still "sophos" on a new UTM build?

Hi wingman,

It seems you're correct. If you update an existing system with enabled Endpoint Protecion and a configured tamper protection password, the password is - regardless of what the text in webadmin says - the same as before the update.
I'm going to talk to rfarcas about this issue, but nevertheless I'll mark the thread as ANSWERED for now.
