Yes it is but..... 1) The system requirements are higher for v9 than v8 due to additional features 2) As this is the first public build of a BETA, the code may not be fully optimized yet. 3) As this is a BETA, in some cases debug logging may be turned on by default, which will cause more resource utilization. 4) There is one bug in particular with the current build that can cause high CPU if using the Web Protection Proxy. This will be fixed in the next build.

Trying to install on my Hyper-V Server it won't recognize the Hyper-V native NICs. The installation quits with "no network interface detected". I haven't tried the "old" NIC type yet. Am I doing something wrong or is Hyper-V support removed in V9?
Monarch, there are some issues in the current beta release and Hyper-V -- it's been reported here (somewhere) along with a workaround, but I think they are fixing that in the next beta release or 2.

Cannot get beta to install on xenserver 6. It just black screens and 100% cpu. waited about 30 minutes. Anything I can change or try or should I just wait for next beta?

It does install, only thing is that the screen updates are sometimes not shown. Use alt+f4 and then alt+f1 to force a screen update and continue the setup.
But after install i also have a blank screen and no activity whatsoever.
It's kinda a hoakie way to get it going but I installed it on virtualbox and then exported an ovf and imported to xenserver 6. It works as an HVM - looking forward to the full PV.
