    I re-installed my endprotection last night and reviewing the software page, I see the same information as posted by Simby.

    The re-installation is the full Sophos package.

    Hi Everyone,

    the Virus Data Date displays the date on which the virus definitions for the first release version of the cycle (10.0.0) were initially created and are shipped within the software.
    But of course we're updating all definitions on a regular basis and they're also shipped to the Endpoints immediatelly.
    Nonetheless this has already been reported here and was clarified:

    This date:
    Datum der Virendaten 05.12.2011 
    Relates to the base data that ships with the product (the .vdb) files. Not the IDE files.

    This date:
    Letztes Update 22.03.2012 07:29:27 
    Relates to time of the most recent additional anti-virus identity file (IDE).

    It looks ok.

    Hi Cristof,
    while your answer is valid, I don't believe it makes good business sense especially in the network protection industry to advertise a product that is at the moment 6 months old.
    Users and support teams are looking for the latest update date, the date displayed does not indicate anything about what the base software does. It would better to leave that value out because I believe causes issues with the end user let alone the company IT guys.
