Yes, it is the plan to add the Mac Endpoint in the next major release, most likely 9.1.

For the Linux/unix client we think about doing the same, yet we first need to understand how much demand there is.

Demand for security reasons only no but demand for  tools to manage linux workstations and servers centralized yes.

My personal opinon

My main interest is in the Device Control - this would be due the popularity of mac's an important point in the EPP.

Is there a release date for the 9.1?

There is no fix release date for 9.1 yet, but plan it for end of 2012 right now.
This than should include a Mac Endpoint client with (antivirus, device control, web filtering and hopefully also client firewall as well as full disk encryption).
Yet all this is still work in progress.

i have a Customer using lots of macs, hope to get Virusscanning for mac and have a selling argument for Astaro [:)]

Hehe, sounds nice for smartphones [[[:)]]] but sophos will hurt Gert if he makes this free for homeuse too [[[:)]]] but it would be nice [[[:)]]]

I am working on getting Mobile Control in as well, but there are some bigger hurdles to climb, therefore this is scheduled for a 9.2 release. 

I will try hard to bring this also free to home users.

Hallo,

will Mac Endpoint support Mac Lion Server (Installed via Appstore) too?
The new published avira-mac-scanner doesn t support the server version and  I ve no idea why?
