    I had the same problem. Adding "example.com" to the domain fixed. Now I'm getting all today's emails at once.

    I feel like I am drowning in all the various broken updates lately. Just trying to get a relatively stable release. Updating from 9.210-20 to 9.304-9 now .... does this SMTP bug still persist? I am using profile mode.

    Answered my own question.  YES the bug still exists in 9.304-9 [:(]

    I had to put placeholder.com in my domain list even though I'm using profile mode. 

    Also had to do the touch REF_SMTPGlobalProfile

    There is some confusion here about the 'Simple' vs. 'Profile' selection.  The three tabs after the 'Global' tab in 'SMTP' are used for the first profile.

    Indeed, at the bottom of the explanation of 'Profile Mode', you get the notice that "You need to have at least two different domains to use the profile mode" - since I already knew what it meant, it never occurred to me to interpret that in the way others have.  I think this is a documentation bug although it doesn't hurt to fix the underlying technical issue. [;)]

    Until I saw this thread, it never occurred to me to leave the "base" profile unconfigured.  That actually worked in an earlier version?

    Yes since day 1 I have always used Profile mode with 2 domains configured.  I never had to put anything in the "Routing" area until updating to 9.304. So I would definitely consider this a bug - having to put example.com or placeholder.com in there seems silly, especially when the verbiage right next to it specifically says to leave it empty, but it does work for now.

    It doesn't really help, after a while error is back
    failed to open /etc/exim.conf.senderblacklist/REF_SMTPGlobalProfile for linear search: No such file or directory
