[9.280-3][BUG] Hyper-V Dynamic Memory

Hey all,

Is anyone else out there running the 9.3 beta under Hyper-V 2012 R2?

I had been happily using Dynamic Memory with UTM 9.2 however after updating to 9.3 it appears to no longer be scaling the memory back even though the memory use within the VM is low.

Before I start rebuilding my virtual UTM and messing with it, is anyone else seeing similar results?

    it is actually BOTH are accurate

    inside the vm you have to understand how Linux allocates memory.  Linux always uses nearly 100% of it's allocation.  However whatever is not actively being used is used for caching highly used files so the system doesn't have to go to disk as often.  This is a performance boost.  What hte utm is reporting is the amount of ram in active use by programs(there are caveats to this...but this works for now).  From the windows side it sees all of hte ram usage including the file cache.

    So form inside the vm(UTM) it is correct in that is is presenting hte maount of ram in active use...while windows sees the file cache of the UTM as ram usage and therefore is also correct by it's calculations.
