that GA release raises some questions about the differences between the current 9.280b and the 9.30 GA.
Will there be a new Beta because there are a lot of fixes that do not appear to have been tested by the beta but gone straight to GA?

I don't think they will Ian, when you look at the "KIL", they are already planning fixes at version 9.319 [:S]

It's not as confusing as it might look like: 9.319 is the "bugbucket" which is used as a container for any bugs that might be fixed by a 9.3x rmaintenance release. Support decides which ones and when that will be in the end. Unresolved bugs in that bucket will be moved to the next feature release once development started (and backported as required).
