I've some understanding problems with this new option. Is this just an add option or can we now use the default authentication in the form domain\username on external devices?
This is correct. With the suffix and prefix option you may authentication with other environments in the following forms: - no prefix or suffix defined: - prefix defined: -> for example prefix can be OWA\ - suffix defined: -> for example a sufix can be: @owa.test - prefix and suffix defined: Option available in Reverse Authentication -> Profiles -> New/Edit Authentication Profile -> Real Webserver , Mode Basic -> Username affix (select here prefix suffix or both).
