Hi Christian,
The GPL iso contains the GNU public license code, which is mandatory to offer when you are using open source code. Please install just SSI or ASG ISO's according to your appliances.

thanks, ASG is for astaros own Hardware i think and the SSI the softrelease for other Hardware? I`ve never seen  SSI images before within the download sections.

Hi,

SSI is for a special bootable USB stick for Sophos/Astaro hardware appliances.

There should also be a software ISO version and an appliance/hardware ISO version.

Hm . i can see there ASG Isis, gpl-asg isos and SSI Isos. No other isos are there so the normal Software ISO is missing? Or is it located at another place?

ASG = Astaro Security Gateway - What the UTM was called before renaming it. the SSI is for their own hardware.

Naming convention is really simple.

SSI prefix is for Astaro/Sophos hardware (110/120/etc). ASG prefix is for Software installs where you supplied the hardware (the 10IP/25IP/etc licenses). GPL prefix is for licensing compliance (you won't normally need it).

Outside the beta there is also a postfix, ASI & ASI-V2, for the Smart Installer USB sticks.

Sorry, I guess I had it wrong on the name of the Smart Installer images.
