Sophos Authenticator App

Hey Testers!

I'm happy to announce the first beta version of the Sophos Authenticator app for Android today.

Sophos Authenticator is the One-time Password app to use with the UTM. It's an improved version of Google Authenticator. That means you can also use it for all your accounts requiring a HOTP or TOTP based second factor. Just like the Google account itself.

This first version adds support for configurations with a timestep different to 30 seconds.

The app not in the Play store, yet. But you can download it from:

To install the .apk you have to allow installation of apps from untrusted sources on your device. You find that setting at "Settings » Security » Unknown Sources". Please make sure to disable it again after you installed the app, for security reasons.

BTW: we're also working on an iOS version. Stay tuned for updates regarding this.

    The iOS App running on iPhone 5s currently fails to decode the secret correctly. In turn calculated OTP codes are all wrong. We've fixed the bug and will publish the update tomorrow. Expect this update to show up in App Store within the next week.

    @Jintel: do you own an iPhone 5s? A test with facebook was successful using an 4s.
