[9.194] WAF and EWS

Hi,

We currently have an issue with EWS not working with Lync 2013 clients and were told by Sophos support that this should work in the 9.2 release.  

Unfotunately I am not in a position to test the beta of 9.2 to verify that it does indeed work with the new SSO feature of WAF.  Is anyone who is testing the beta and using Lync 2013 able to confirm that this has been resolved?

More details on the issue are here: utm webserver protection ews.  Though it originally talks about Mac version of outlook, the issue connecting to exchange EWS URL is the same.

    Hi occadmin,

    For the thread above/EWS on MAC, currently the problem is still not fixed. At the moment, we do not support Outlook Anywhere connections for Mac clients.

    The Mantis ID for this issue is 27287 and is on the Known Issues List for 9.1. 

    For 9.2 there were some changes in Apache merged in the current beta iso, so we did not test this scenario yet.

    We are currently using firmware 9.195-6, WAF & Outlook 2011 for Mac and are experiencing an infinite logon failure with the Outlook Client (attached screenshot) & WAF logs showing the following:

    We have the WAF configured as per the screenshot attached as we are using the single hostname for OWA, ActiveSync & OA. I can confirm we are using basic authentication for Outlook Anywhere.
