[9.193][ANSWERED] IPS Severely Limiting Throughput

IPS is severely limiting my throughput on the 220. I tried a 320, and getting the same results. 

Nowhere near the 640 advertised speeds. With a connected Gb fiber connection, getting 40Mb or closer to 120Mb when "tuned" to remove specific patterns.

Any ideas on how to get closer to advertised throughput, without turning off IPS?

    Hi,
    one note to our performance test methodologies. To be comparable with other vendors, we measure throughput numbers like specified in RFC2544.
    For IPS throughput we use:
    - bidirectional UDP traffic with a specific packet size (1518Bytes)
    - depending on the hardware several interfaces (6 in case of a 220)

    As Andrew already mentioned, these number should be taken with care, since these are measured in a controlled environment.
