[9.190] EXT NIC down

Hi, I'm having serious problems with 9.190... the EXT NIC didn't come up.

I've brought it up manually with ifconfig, but there are no routes for the internet, and the dashboard still shows "eth1  unused".

Wild guess:
If 9.190 has added the new Atheros drivers, then it's possible the UTM is confused by the fact that it's now seeing 3 NICs where there were 2 before.
However, I'm not sure that that is correct; I don't see any evidence that the Atheros gigE NIC has been detected.

I will try restoring a backup and see if that helps anything.

    update:

    a. I made a new backup with the non-working 9.190 config

    b. I restored the autobackup that was made during the 9.190 upgrade

    restoring the old backup worked.

    restoring the new backup results in the same problems... EXT NIC is down.

    I can email the backup files; PM me the email address.

    Hi Barry,

    I forward this information to the developer. We cant get a picture of whats going on exactly. Do you still have issues with this interface in the current beta iso?
    In 9.190 Atheros drivers were not updated. 
    I will send you a mail with my contact in case you have more issues regarding this matter.
