[9.186][BUG] DynDNS Not updating

Hi All
I have found that the DynDNS is not updating.
When either the Interface is manually turned off and turned on again or when in the DNS section the service is stopped or started for each name running, nor will a restart force a resync.
I have a cable modem.
I have turned the cable modem off with nill results.
I have turned off the interface to the cable modem with nill results.
I have requested dhcp request with nill results.

The only fix was to go into the Dyn console and enter the correct IP address.

Hi Mark,

I've checked your issue and can't reproduce it.
I've configure a PPOE Interface and a DynDNS account. If I disable my DSL Interface and reenable it, I get a new IP for the Interface and after a few minutes the dynDNS account is also updated.
I see that also in the system.log

Can you please send me your system.log to check if the ddclient showing any errors.
How long have you waited for the update?
The update for dyndns can take upto five minutes.

There is no such thing as a 'forced resync'. The ddclient will never attempt an update more often than within the allowed interval of the used service.

I'm using a cable modem and dhcp, this is running as a virtual machine. Using 9.1 I see the Ip change.
If I turn off the 9.2 and start the 9.1 the Ip changes (as the mac address are different), all works.
If I turn off 9.1 and start 9.2 dyndns doesn't update.

From the screenshot I see 3 hostnames for DynDNS for the same interface. Could you please check if it works when you have only one of them enabled?

It makes no difference if only one is turned one or all three are turned on.
After turning on and off the WAN interface the DynDNS address do update but it takes about 5 mins for this to happen.
In version 9.0 this is usually within 30 secs.

So it works as designed? The update interval is 300 secs (5 minutes) and is exactly the same as in v9.0.
