When using web filter profiles with time events that terminate a users access the UTM will not terminate streaming data.
A brief overview, if a user has TuneIn (a streaming music app) running on a device when the time event occurs the web part (ads etc.) of the application stops working but any streams that are open will continue to play.
Web Filtering is enabled for the internal network with transparent mode selected and no authentication. Under filtering options I have used the default 'Target Services' and 'Bypass content scanning for streaming content' enabled. I set up two profiles, one with web access from 6AM to 9PM and another to deny access from 9PM to 6AM. The profiles work for web site access correctly but any type of stream, or possibly even open connections, don't terminate.
If I turn off web filtering and tested the firewall alone I have confirmed it will terminate streams/connections. Mantis ID 27685 corrected that issue.
