[9.165][QUESTION] Driver updates/additions?

I'd like to know if the recent Atheros gigE NICs are going to be supported.

I don't have the hardware to test.

Yeah, NIC drivers was where I was going with my question too. Increase Broadcom NIC support pretty please [:)]

Tested GA-Z87N-wifi which has Atheros Gbe LAN chip 10/100/1000 Mbit which was not found by the v9.2b installer.

Would be very good if it availble3 because there would another MB with two inbuilt NICs.

we are testing this at the moment and will update the driver to support new chipsets, before GA release of 9.2.

Assigned is a ticket which deals with the "documentation" of unsupported hardware. The plan is to support as many vendor NICs as possible. So any other suggestions are appreciated.

I ordered the Gigabyte GA-Z87N-WIFI board with the Atheros AR8161 or AR8161B NIC and would be interested in testing.
(I know the WiFi NIC won't work)

Please let me know if the new kernel drivers / modules are in 9.171, and what the module names are.
