[9.165][BUG] p0f in http proxy uses 100% cpu

In 9.170 we will no longer be running p0f if you are not doing any device authentication.  This was always the plan, it just didn't make it into the first beta cut.

That being said, we should never be at 100% for p0f.  We need access to the box in order to investigate.  Would it be possible to expose SSH login externally and PM me credentials?  

Try not to reboot the box, restart the proxy, or install 9-170 until we have a chance to investigate.

Anyone else - if are experiencing this and have a box we can look at it would be really helpful.

I have exaclty the same problem here! p0f is constantly using up one of the two cores of my ASG VM.



This situation has now been present for some days according to the cpu usage diagram in Webadmin. I have only very limited time for checking the beta, so I only discovered the problem today.

We are having trouble reproducing this in house.

Monarch - if you are willing, please PM me with details on accessing your box.  External SSH login would be perfect.

Michael, I re-disabled SSH from the Internet since there where lots of login attempts (perhaps from scriptkiddies...). I saw you were on my machine. Hope you got what you need. If access is needed once again, simply send me a message.

The Mantis ID #29371 is now being worked on.

We got everything we need and have found and fixed the problem.  I don't know if it will make it into 9.170 or not.  Thanks for your help!

We are planning to release a fix for this issue in Version 9.180.
