Sophos Outlook Plugin for SPX encryption

For those interested in testing the new SPX encryption features in 9.2, you may want to check out the outlook plugin to make life a little easier.

How can we do an unattended installation?

just -q worked for me, when the Vistual Studio tools for office dependency was already installed. The installation proceeded smoothly without any user interaction at all.

Otherwise, the vs tools install was triggered, and I had to accept the license agreement for it's installation. I'll check with development if there's any easy way to suppress that as well.

thanks for the download-link.
it is very useful, because i am unable to access these files at the sophos download-pages directly.

But the installer doesn't support my office version ... i think.
I use win7 with office 2003 german.
Is there a plugin for these office version also?

Office 2003 will be EOL by coming april 8 (together with the retirement of Win XP).
So I assume no support for this version is to be expected.

Outlook 2013 prompts with "A plugin has delayed Outlook from starting", "Click to see it" = Sophos Outlook Plugin, delay time 1,987secs.

Every time I start Outlook, it loads the plugins, but hangs when I reaches the Sophos Outlook plugin, could it be possible to speed it up, and therefore not having all the users call support because of this, they think it's an error ;-)

@Martin - The slow startup appears to be aknown issue that we're looking into:
Sophos Outlook Add-in v1.3: "This add-in is incompatible with Data Execution Prevention mode and should be disabled or upgraded to the latest version."

@System-Z - do you mean the plugin installs but email isn't encrypting, or that the encrypt button isn't showing up?
