[9.165][ANSWERED] Beta Track

In the download information it says "
We also have an up2date package from version 9.106-17.1 to the beta version 9.165-15" 
but the beta overview says
 "No matter your platform, you must install the UTM 9.2 Beta release from scratch to gain access to the Beta track."

So are we able to update to the beta? If not, what is the point of the U2D?
