if you have this system in producation ,my friendly advise is you should wait for some more days ,there are some bug fix after 9.1008 now it seems ftp has new package but still i peronally think you should wait
If you are running utm 9.006 at home with 4 gb ram then you should not face any problem ,that will be good pratice if you are upgrade home system that will give you idea about new feature
as your singnature say you have 220 appliance with how much ram ? 2gb ?
another poing i will recommand you reboot your system before upgrade on any system and wait for some time then install new firmware (9.1)
