[9.070][BUG] UTM unusable if external interface fails

Checked all the logs but no support from the company what logs to see

an additional IP address in WAN that I used to open the modem interface is not working in 9.070
Application control not showing in any log page

I have an outstanding issue from about 2 betas ago with an extra address on the external interface not working correctly, I found you need to turn off spoof protection.
In the current beta release there is a reporting bug which is fixed in the next release which should sometime this week.

The network issue was not a problem on v9.00x  release.

Tried now with off spoof protection withaout success 
I noticed a very strange thing, when WAN has problems even the HUB behind UTM hangs and i can't reach a internal server. Disconnecting the UTM completely from internal network i can RDP the server or when WAN is normalized

"Considering that my ISP informed me that DSL line will be disconnected for about 1 hour. And for that can't be faulted the modem or a configuration" 
 UTM is confused if the WAN dissconects

i also notice this many times but i was able to use webadmin and ssh 
when you power off you modem/router and try to access ssh login process is slow and when you type any thing that later also apper slow that time confd use more cpu check 
but just drop the idea of createing another "myth" 

who will knot the.......

I think that has something to do with the new Hosts Definition, mixed with DHCP & DNS static... 
Waiting for the new upgrade or Monday back to 9.065

Due to the 4 threads that are dealing with PPPoE problems, we are investigating everything that might be going on regarding this.

More detailed scenarios will help.
In PPPoE investigations the following logs are important: pppoe.log ; mdw-debug.log; confd-debug.log . Also system.log and kernel.log are useful.

i have the same problem when my pppoe session goes down. I found out that all firewallrules get lost in that moment, even the ones to reach the firewall itselve. It seems that this might be the problem

Yep Bianca I had a lot of emails "Midlway  Stopped Restarting"
But no logs

broke the link tonight to collect the logs you requested.

I hope the attached collection helps resolve this issue because it takes the UTM about 5 minutes to settle down after a link loss. My modem might not help much, but the replacement would not co-operate when put in bridge mode.
Bring on the next v9.1xx beta release, need a fix for the http proxy broken pipes soon it is causing grief on both UTMs. I know this is the fun of playing with a beta.[[[:)]]]

There are some advantages to having two UTMs during beta testing when one breaks I can still connect.

And just to make sure, I can't login to the box to see what is happening. The current box that has failed, has 4 ethernet ports (all Intel) and vlans.

Even though the logs show the PPPoE as being stable at approx 2035, access was not available until 2109.
