[9.070][MYTH] Incorrect Live Flow Monitor Now Usage

Yep
All HTTP is proxied.
No HTTP firewall rules.
I have seen previous Live Flow traffic for downloads that look OK.

Hi Mark,

I checked on my machine the following:
-> enable http proxy
-> run traffic on my client (i used youtube stream)
-> open live monitor on the correct interface
-> checked that live monitor shows the correct bandwidth usage as it appears on the OUT interface [check attached printscreen]. My interface is test2 , you can compare the value in kb/s with what you see in live mon which is in kB/s

Hi Bianca, this has nothing to do with proxies. I was able to replicate this but you have to leave the flow monitor running for a few minutes. I was testing it by going to youtube and streaming videos. Interestingly, the flow monitor graphs are not affected and only the application view window is affected.

Only explanation I could think of was that since TOP Application reporting is broken, this maybe impacting the flow monitor. https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/80/t/64964  Screenshots attached

I know has nothing to do with proxies but i mentioned the entire scenario i used for the test.

Hi Bianca, I only look at the flow monitor for a few seconds if I am having bandwidth issues etc, and the flow monitor works fine in those situations. Unless Mark has anything else to add, I guess you can close this thread.
