[9.065][ANSWERED] SUM Import Bug

Hi All
I was just importing some Host definitions into SUM and got the error message "syntactic object verification failed, please ensure that DNS Open DNS IPv6 1 contains an ipv4 address"

Please see pic.

Not sure if this is a SUM error or v9 error

Also got a number of other fails from Firewall rules.

    Hi Mark,

    the error message on the first screenshot is because you are trying to import an object
    that has only an ipv6 address but no ipv4 address. SUM doesn't support ipv6 addresses
    yet, so it is mandatory that there has to be an ipv4 address.

    The further error message are because you are trying to import objects that are bound
    to an interface of the utm and yet the utm does not support to send the data of such
    objects.

    Please verify that in both cases the objects are of the kind I described. If so, then it is not
    a bug but defined behaviour.
