[9.060][ANSWERED] Backend Groups in HTML5 Portal Connections?

Hi,

in the 9.004-34 Active Directory group membership is not working for setting permissions on portal connections. Is that fixed in the Beta?

Sorry, I can't have a look at the beta at the moment.

EDIT: forgot to mention that this is not working although we do *not* use nested groups in AD.

    Could you please give me some more details/a more detailed description what you wanted to achieve? 
    I tried to reproduce this issue with the version you mentioned (v9.004-34), but as far as I understood, it works for me.

    Hi Frank,

    we are using AD groups for granting access to different features of the UTM.
    I have generated a group - lets call is "AD-RDP"  - pointing to a backend (AD) group "RDP" with users that should have access to some RDP connections.

    Added this group to the allowed users, but this does not work - these users do not get the RDP connection options.
    Only when I add each and every user to the allowed users field manually for each connection they get the connection.

    ---> found the solution: even though the users have access to the portal, they have it granted by another group "AD-Portal" - Astaro Online Help tells us that the exact same group has to be added to the Portal Access, no matter if the users have access granted by another group. 
    Thats a bit silly, from a management and security standpoint, but it does work.
