RED switch not working - no link on any port including WAN

Hi Guys,

I have a RED device here that seems to be broken somehow (no, I didn't pull power while flashing it):

After I apply power to the device the power LED is on and after a few seconds the system LED comes up, but I get no link on any of the ports, neither on the WAN nor on one of the LAN ports.
I tried several cables, several peers, Gigabit notebook card, 2 APs. Both the LEDs on the RED device and the according link indicators on the peer devices stay dark.

Plus, sometimes if I switch the device off and on again every 2nd-3rd time randomly some of the LAN port LEDs are switched on without any cables being connected to them.

Any idea on what's wrong with the device or how to fix it?

I am willing to apply force (read: build a JTAG cable, open the box....) to get that thing working once again.
