Question: RED and VLANs?

At first, thanks for RED-Beta.
Our Devices we´ve got at 09.03.2010 an the first RED works since Friday in homeoffice of my teammate.

We have set a home net at first.
But now, we would add an VoIP-Phone.
In our company network we have an VoIP-Net with VLAN-ID.
Now we would use this to access the IP-Phone to this network.
But when we configure the Network-Device with VLAN-ID of VoIP-Net, we do'nt have a chance connect an extra Client-LAN with or without other VLAN than VoIP Net.

How should solve this request?

I think the solution is to use one home net an fixed IP on VoIP-Phone.

But i'm looking for an alternative to use the Client-PC and VoIP-Phone behind the RED as same way like clients in company network.

    Several solutions should be possible.

    If you put a redsX interface in a bridge with a device that carries both "normal" frames and VLAN tagged traffic, the frames should simply appear on the LAN ports of the RED. Of course, RED itself is not VLAN aware, so you either need to connect a VLAN-capable switch, or VLAN-capable equipment (like the phone probably is).

    If the ASG has a VLAN member interface in the phone network too, and you put that in a bridge with the RED, the ASG will remove the VLAN tag before the frame is sent over the RED link.

    We did not test all those scenarios, so please try some things yourself [:)]
