Does RED require a public IP?

For example,

I take a RED to a client with me, and it gets a dhcp address, but is NATTEd through a firewall.

Would this work? Or does the RED require direct, public IP access?

I plan to test it out tomorrow anyways..

It works via NAT. This is the main use case.

What it needs is:

- DHCP (The usual package: IP/GW/DNS)
- Port 3400 TCP/UDP open towards the Internet

Please note that internet access systems in hotels may not work since they might expect HTTP traffic that can be redirected.
