For now, just use a Non-HTTP business application policy, then enable SMTP and SMTPS scanning, and you'll achieve the same thing.

So, for a business that does not have a in-house mail server there is no ability to scan incoming mail or outgoing for that matter?

if your mail isn't in house how would ou scan it anyway unless you are using pop3?

Because if you look at the mail policy it is capable of scanning pop/s smtp/s imap/s and according to the documents it is supposed to be a proxy.

Trouble is the proxy in Copernicus also requires a NAT rule.

copernicus needs to be able to do that on it's own..kinda like the astaro product they bought..[:)]

my statement about the proxy was not 100% accurate, there is no transparent proxy as stated in another thread in this forum. The included proxy will require a script to change the browser (default port3128) access to it.

what if you run an in-house e-mail server is still no transparent proxy?

I should have been more specific, the web proxy is what I was referring to when saying my original post was inaccurate.

Mail has proxy if you enable the scanning functions which all seem to be aimed at an internal server.
