[ANSWERED] Cpu 100%

Hello,

I currently have a similar problem with CPU usage constantly being at 100%. I started to play around a bit with a virtual appliance and configured some VLAN interfaces. Then I clicked around, but changed nothing more. After this i noticed the constantly high CPU usage. Again I did not configure anything but VLAN interfaces.

Via console using the "top" command I got the following output:

top - 02:40:35 up 8 min,  1 user,  load average: 1.35, 1.47, 0.85
Tasks: 313 total,   3 running, 309 sleeping,   0 stopped,   1 zombie
Cpu(s): 48.6%us,  1.8%sy,  0.0%ni, 49.4%id,  0.2%wa,  0.0%hi,  0.0%si,  0.0%st
Mem:   3082052k total,  1747568k used,  1334484k free,    42096k buffers
Swap:  1048572k total,        0k used,  1048572k free,   458692k cached

PID  PR  NI  VIRT    RES    SHR  S %CPU %MEM    TIME+   COMMAND
639  20  0   18512   13m    2700 R 98.6 0.4     5:09.90 /proxy/skein/de

I don't know what service this command belongs to. I tried restarting the Web Proxy service but nothing changed. A reboot does not help either.

In my efforts to solve this I looked at the open connections and noticed a connection to an IP that seems to belong to AWS. As no one is connecting to the internet through the box this somehow got my attention, but might as well be completely irrelevant to the CPU usage problem. Anyway here is the connection string:
