Me apparently -- Sophos putting young underdeveloped products in the hands.  Thanks goodness in this case.

    it isn't hardware.  I have tried the beta in hyper-v and it talks about unable to initialize firmware and hangs. This is beta though...BUT this is maybe actually late alpha IMO...[[[:)]]]  It most assuredly needs work..but that is why this is a testing period..[[[:)]]]  This software is going to take the place of sophos utm...that astaro product they bought(now at 9.x) and cyberoam.  This is going to take time and it going to be very bumpy..[[[:)]]]

    I am sure it will be worth the wait, but its good not to have any expectations till the 2 or 3rd full release

    Little note. Copernicus *might* in some point in the future maybe hopefully be able to replace a Sophos UTM, but is actually not planned nor communicated so. UTM still will exist and be developed further in parallel, as Sophos UTM has - in opposite to the Cyberoam Appliances - a from ground up different philosphy/handling/(and partly) featureset compared to Copernicus. So there's no hurry or enforcement to migrate to Copernicusat all.

    So for the moment as UTM User / Partner see Copernicus as an additional  powerful network security package you got into in your portfolio you can use, whereever it may fit for reasons as userbased policies, full central management, API or whyever Copernicus may fit in a project where Sophos UTM today is known to be limited, and still do your accustomed Sophos UTM business as usual.

    For myself as Sophos Sales Engineer I see and like the opportunity Copernicus offers me to compete and win now full NGFW or central Management related projects which in the past sometimes was harder to argue in projects due known central manageability limitiations. So the future gets bright as I can play now with both products [:D]

    However - that opportunity thing my very personal impression...[;)]
