Install via USB drive

I used rufus and installation works without any problem.

I now used imageUSB (Tools for OSForensics - ImageUSB - Write an image to multiple USB Flash Drives) and this worked - at least it is installing at the moment.

I've been trying several options to create a valid USB device.
But then... RTFM.. [:)]

After choosing for download and filling in the forms there is a link to the quick start guide.
There is described with what commands / applications to prepare a stick.

Link to a quick start guide? Where?
I just went through the registration an download again and I can not find such a link [:(] - there is only a link to this forum here...

I followed guide (sorry don't have link available), converted format, then wrote to USB stick with dd (OS X user here) and received
"Starting Firmware Installation
Failed getting ISO disk
press y to reboot"

Have tried multiple ways, tried with unetbootin, burned beta ISO to CD, still having issues. Don't have access to a Windows machine to setup USB stick in it. But this was has worked to setup UTM 9 in past.

Would appreciate any suggestions.

Just to close this off. Finally had a chance to get USB stick created on a Windows machine and still get the same error. Updated BIOS to latest. Issue probably with hardware Shuttle DS57U. At this point will need to find a machine I can test with.

Have you changed the USB key you're using?
Had a similar issue and it turned out the USB3 key I used wasn't the best thing to use.  Went and got an 'el cheapo' USB2.0 key and everything went well.

I used OSX, converted the ISO to DMG, wrote it to USB2 key with dd bs=1M and booted straight away.

Just use Rufus, and when it asks if you want ISO or DD format (The iso is a ISOHybrid), go with DD-format [;)]

When installation is done it will play fürelise :-D

Rufus failed (in my case) for Beta2 ISO fresh installation on my UTM120, even with DD-format option.

"Win32 Disk Imager" did the job.

Same problem with the Shuttle DS57U.  Tried 2 usb stick, win32diskimager and rufus.  Hell i even tried burning the iso and using a usb dvd rom.
