[ANSWERED] What is a live user?

I have a number of devices connected to this beta, but none show up as live users, so I have to conclude they are all dead.
If live user means an active session then that doesn'tcount either. If it means a user with a heart beat that would make them a live user and the other users dead users.
Dead users can still access the www, so what causes the live user count to grow greater than 0?

    Live Users are accounts that you have logged in with the Captive Portal. This happens when the Default network policy is set to Deny Access, therefor when you navigate to a page, you will be prompted with "Network Authentication". After logging in, you will shift to the appropriate "User Policy" linked with the logging in user's user group. This can be Local Users or AD/RADIUS Authentication. (AD SSO Works)
