[ANSWERED] Exclude Some Service/Destinations from Data Quota

So I've been running a dummy system since the partner preview. One thing i haven't been able to work out:


  • is it possible to exclude some services/destination hosts from network data quotas.
  • is it possible to allow certain services/destination hosts access even after going over network  data quota.


Example1: visiting 10.10.10.10 should not count towards network data usage.
Example2: even after going over my limit (1mb for example ;P ) I should still be able to access only 10.10.10.10

    Hi Corey,

    You need to define user  Policy for such services/destination and enable "Exclude this user activity from data accounting " 

    Traffic handle by this security policy will be excluded from user network traffic quota.

    For the second usecase ; you can crate network Policy for the destination/service and allow them without user authentication.

    Thanks for that. I had kind of worked out #1 but #2 was eluding me.

    Is there another way for #2 incase you wanted to still inforce the other user policies?

    For Example: Whilst visiting 10.10.10.10 doesn't count towards data, and should be accessible regardless of quota, the other per user/group policies should still apply.

    EDIT: Could you clone your existing user/group policy, limit it to certain destinations and tick exclude data accounts? Think that might work.
