Hi, I really don't understand the current layout ...
The services tab exists in two places.
1. system ->diagnostics ->services
2. system ->system services
IPS exists in system/diagnostics /services, Objects/ Content/Custom IPS Patterns,Objects/ Policies/ IPS, and maybe others[:O]
Well, if I disable IPS as a service under system/diagnostics/services (screenshot1)
I can still enable a policy enabling IPS (screenshot 2)
and it looks like IPS is running in my policy when it is really not (screenshot3)
I am sure other services act the same way but they really shouldn't and the user should get some kind of warning or the service should be started automatically. Maybe that is the reason that IPS etc are enabled by default eating up ram (minimum system requirement 1GB ram[:D] should really not even be there[;)])
Regards
Bill
