Hi
In the UTM it is possible to assign an alias to a dns entry
for example
192.168.7.1 gandalf.foo.bar
bilbo.foo.bar
However this seems to be missing from Copernicus?
Or have I missed something?
Aimee
Its under system -> Network -> DNS
All the way on the bottom, you can define hosts etc and have request routing etc. The problem is that system DNS settings are mixed with FQDN hosts and request routing [:(]
I thought it was under objects -> assets -> FQDN host since the help file seems to indicate that but its not[:$]
This software has great potential but the bad layout design is going to be the demise of this product.
They are trying to streamline the menu system but too many sub menus are hidden under different headings that unless you know where to look or go through everything, its hard to find. Alan said that they are going to move some menu items around but the whole layout for me is confusing and I usually like confusing stuff because of the learning curve[;)] But this needs some redesign work[:$]
Turn off reverse DNS for additional names then you can add as many cnames as you like.
