[ANSWERED] DHCPv6 PD - Supported?

Is DHCPv6 PD (client) supported?

I don't see any equivalent to UTM's "Automatic IPv6 renumbering".   Or any references in help for Delegated Prefix.

Also, a very nice to have would be support for DHCPv6 "hint" that would allow for requesting of a prefix larger than a /64.

    DHCPv6 PD is not supported as of now. You can assign ipv6 address on interface via statically or dynamically.


    Thanks for confirming.  Unfortunately, that's a Show Stopper.  For me, the ability to obtain IP addressing from the service provider is a basic functionality requirement.

    Very disappointing. The ISP I use for this test machine provides native IPv6, that is why I connected to this ISP for testing of IPv6 on a UTM. That also means no sixxs etc tunnels?
    Very retrograde step for a next gen firewall.

    I will try manually configuring IPv6 on the external interface.

    I configured IPv6 and tried to save the configuration, but that never happened, to get access to the web console I had to pull the power plug.

    It appears that you can under System / Network / IP Tunnel.

    However, I'm certainly not going back in time and do a tunnel when I have native dual-stack today.

    Being able to configure a fixed IPv6 address on the external interface is of no use to me because my ISP provides a dynamic external /64 and fixed internal /56.
    Using a IPv6 internally to a IPv4 external interface sort of defeats the purpose of IPv6.

    I suppose I could always move to a fixed IPv6 external address, still disappointing considering the amount of work that had been done for IPv6 in the UTM versions.

    Cannot use IPv6, unable to create an IPv6 DHCP server. Unable to select any interface - have two.

    Unable to use a sixxs tunnel, nowhere to put userid and password and the tunnel type is not supported.

    Found more ways  of creating IPv6 internally, but I don't think it wil work because some of the fields are greyed  out.

    Got internal IPv6 working. A minor miracle, considering my past posts in this thread.
